Installation

You need to install 2 separate apps, one to Jira and another to Bitbucket, to implement the complete commit policy checker mechanism. Each app can be conveniently installed from the Atlassian Marketplace. The whole procedure takes only a few minutes.

Steps:

  1. Install the Better Commit Policy for Jira app to your Jira site. This app provides the commit policy checking functionality for every sort of developer platforms.

  2. Install the Better Commit Policy Connector for Bitbucket app to your Bitbucket workspace. This app integrates the previous app to Bitbucket Cloud.

Installing the app

You can easily install the Better Commit Policy for Bitbucket app from the Atlassian Marketplace.

Steps:

  1. Open the app's listing on the Atlassian Marketplace.
  2. Select Cloud as hosting type.
  3. Click Get it now → Get app.
  4. Choose the Bitbucket site (workspace) and click Install.
  5. Wait until the "Success, this app was installed!" message appears in the bottom left.
  6. Open the Bitbucket workspace.
  7. Click the cog icon "⚙" in the top right → Workspace settings → Installed apps.
  8. Check whether "Better Commit Policy for Bitbucket" is visible in the Forge apps list.
