| Set expiration date |
This action sets the expiration date for the page and optionally for its descendant pages. If there are inherited dates, they are listed along with the ancestor page they have been inherited from. The effective date (the one that is regarded as the actual expiration date) is highlighted. This is important in cases when there are multiple pages in the ancestor hierarchy (including the current page) that have an expiration date set. 
Effects The following content properties are updated, depending on the parameters selected in the dialog:

This action removes the expiration date from the page and its descendant pages (if applicable). Effects The following content properties are removed:

| Open ancestor |
This action opens the ancestor page from which the current page inherits its effective expiration date.
It is available only if the effective date originates from an ancestor. Example If an expiration date is set on an ancestor page, and the date is set to propagate to descendant pages (up to a depth of 5 levels), the current page inherits that date from the ancestor. In this case, you may want to go to the parent and update the expiration date there. If there are multiple dates inherited, the earliest one is marked as effective. Effects The ancestor page from which the expiration date originates is opened. (Even if it's not the direct parent, but the parent of the parent. This action makes navigation super easy.) |
